The 12 Best Places To Enjoy New Year’s Eve In Bali

FINNS Beach Club: The Best New Year’s Eve Celebration In Bali

New Year's Eve at FINNS with amazing fireworks

There’s only one New Year’s Eve in Bali, and the biggest and best event on the island, bar none, is the NYE party at FINNS.

FINNS NYE Party is the stuff of legends, with artists like Fat Boy Slim and Flume having headlined in previous years. This year, it’s Duke Dumont’s turn, and there will be more artists joining him, too.

They blend tropical island vibes with an amazing sunset over the Indian Ocean, with the best party environment anywhere on Earth at FINNS.

By the time the clock strikes midnight, you will know for sure that you’ve been to the best of the countdown parties in Southeast Asia, if not on Earth.

Don’t forget that the fun at FINNS Beach Club is a daytime into night party, and that means get to Berawa Beach early, find your space and then get partying!

Many people will tell you that New Year’s Eve at FINNS Beach Club is their main reason for visiting Bali at this time of year. It’s super popular, so make sure to plan ahead and be an early bird who books their ticket a long way in advance; that way, you can be sure of an unforgettable New Year’s Eve.

Address: Jl. Pantai Berawa No.99, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Potato Head Beach Club: The Scene Of Many NYE Beach Parties

Potato Head NYE 2025 Teaser

Potato Head, somewhat oddly, decided to announce its lineup on social media but omitted it from its website. We guess that they will remedy that at some point or another.

They’re calling the two weeks around New Year’s Eve their FULL CIRCLE festival, and there will be a full NYE Party.

They haven’t announced a headliner yet, which is a bit concerning, as the island has a shortage of headline acts this year, but Saoirse and Shanit Celeste will be there, and their resident DJs DITA and GERO will too.

Their general admission tickets are on sale now, if you don’t mind shelling out your cash before a headliner is known.

La Brisa: They Will Celebrate NYE

La Brisa in Canggu is in a worse position than Potato Head; they have officially announced that they will be doing something for New Year’s Eve at this beach club.

They’ve also started selling tickets for the night. But there is no indication that they’ve secured a decent artist (as we go to press, of course).

We feel that gambling on a venue to deliver a good time is a bad way to approach this night, particularly given that FINNS Beach Club has already confirmed its act, along with several other beach clubs in Bali.

However, if you’re in the mood for a flutter, tickets are available on their website.

Address: La Brisa, Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Woobar Bali @ W Bali: Made The List

Woobar is one of the most expensive venues in Bali, so don’t be fooled by the low-cost general admission prices for early birds; it’s going to be pricey when you start buying drinks.

However, if you’re in the mood for the Spanish house music DJ David Penn and the W Bali’s resident deck spinners, then you will find that they’re ready to cater to you.

In previous years, they’ve had a hip hop stage and events at both Woobar and W Lounge, so there may be more news on the horizon here.

The name of the event, for some reason, is the “Made the List Party”

Address: Jalan Petitenget Seminyak, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361

Ku De Ta Beach Club: TBC

Ku De Ta is Bali’s oldest and longest-established beach club. It’s also not yet confirmed an artist or even if it’s having a party at all on the big night.

We can’t imagine that they won’t have a party. Over the years, they’ve had some unforgettable New Year’s Eve nights, and while they can’t compete with FINNS NYE, they have stood out as top quality.

Again, we’d hold off on booking at Ku De Ta until they have some more details out, or you risk being disappointed and spending a lot of money.

Azul Beach Club X Bali Mandira: Great Food, More Than A Party

The folks at Azul Beach Club have got their act together for New Year’s Eve, and they have gone into partnership with the Bali Mandira hotel for the night.

Instead of focusing on partying, they’re all about a gourmet dinner by the Indian Ocean, which will be a 5-course fixed menu.

Once the food is gone, dinner guests and hotel guests alike are welcome to join the Sandy Bay Beach Pool Countdown Party.

We should note that this is one of the very few events in Legian this year, so if you’re staying in that neck of the woods, you might want to check it out.

Just stay away from the beach in this area, it is home to some stray dogs some of which have been connected to the rabies virus.

Savaya Bali: A Challenging Location

Savaya NYE

Savaya has signed Jamie Jones & Bedouin for the night (though they also have Fat Boy Slim appearing 2 days later).

This would be pretty good, except for the location. This part of Uluwatu is always underserved by Grab, and you’re not likely to see a single ride-share all night.

That means dealing with the local taxi mafia at insanely inflated prices. FINNS NYE is going to be much easier to get home from.

Address: Jl. Belimbing Sari, Banjar Tambiyak, Pecatu, Uluwatu, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80364, Indonesia

Atlas Beach Club: A New Year’s Gamble

Atlas NYE

Atlas Beach Club has secured an artist. It’s Swae Lee. We confess, we were a bit underwhelmed by this announcement. Last year, they had Akon.

But, there’s no doubt that this hasn’t been the best of years for Atlas; they’ve been involved in a couple of scandals, and many of their events have been poorly attended.

When you have to start giving away festival tickets halfway through the event because you haven’t sold any, things aren’t great.

However, there is a confirmed headliner that puts Atlas in a better position for most beach clubs this year.

Midaz Bali: Hotel Heaven On New Year’s Eve

Midaz NYE 2025

Continuing in last year’s tradition, this posh hotel will be hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration, but the details have not yet been shared with the general public.

In 2024, they went with a dinner package and a live band, and some DJs. So, we’d expect something similar this year.

The hotel is taking reservations for this event already. As they aren’t selling tickets, it should be simple enough to arrange through their reception desk.

Address: Jl. Petitenget No.19, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361

Tropical Temptation: The Hippy Vibe Is Very Real

They’re going with a very hippy vibe at Tropical Temptation, which suffers from similar taxi mafia issues to Savaya.

There will be several DJs plus a climax of 3 hours of “ecstatic dance”, which feels like a very niche approach to seeing in the New Year.

On the bright side, they’re catering to the non-alcohol drinkers with special herbal concoctions.

Copper Kitchen @ Bisma 8: Rooftop Barbecue In Ubud

They’re having a barbecue at this lovely rooftop restaurant in Ubud to see in the New Year. You can be certain that you won’t leave this place hungry.

They also have an excellent cocktail list and wine list, which should ensure that you have plenty of options to wash the excellent food down with.

The restaurant has engaged a DJ for the latter part of the night, and we expect you can enjoy some serious fireworks with an unhindered rooftop view over the local area.

Akasa Jumeria Bali: A Gourmet Dinner And Exciting Time

This upscale restaurant in the lovely Jumeria Bali resort will have a nice New Year’s dinner. To accompany it, they’re going with DJs, a live band, dancers and more.

It’s a set menu for a fixed price. But drinks are not included, and you will need to pay for those on the night.

You should also note that while you’re not expected to wear formal attire for this, you are expected to dress to impress.

Address: Raya Uluwatu Street, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali

Friends Bar: The Ultimate New Year’s After Party Spot

Friends Bar is a short walk away from Cafe Del Mar, FINNS Beach Club and Atlas Beach Club. That makes it the perfect place for an after-party.

As everywhere else on the island is winding down, the folks at Friends will be gearing up for even more fun!

They also make some excellent snacks if you’ve got some post-countdown munchies to take care of.

FAQs

Should I Book In Advance For A New Year’s Eve Party In Bali?

Yes! Popular spots like FINNS Beach Club don’t even sell tickets on the day. They know that their countdown parties will sell out completely. As we go to press, FINNS still has general admission tickets for sale, and a very few items of furniture are available. By mid-December, they will probably be sold out, as they have been in previous years.

If you want an awesome New Year’s Eve experience here, it’s always important to book early. In fact, we’d extend that recommendation to hotels too. They sell out a long way in advance, too.

How Does Transport Work On New Year’s Eve?

New Year’s Eve is the busiest night here with no exceptions. That means there is often a shortage of transport at kicking-out time, and what little is available will be charging as much as they can get away with.

We recommend staying within walking distance, and then you can party all night long and just walk home when you’re done. Then, you can enjoy the perfect atmosphere and look forward to some nice black coffee in the morning without standing on the Uluwatu Cliffs all night arguing with the taxi mafia as they try to persuade you that 1 million IDR is a decent fare for a 10-minute drive.

What Should I Pack For NYE Events In Bali?

We always recommend bringing some layers of clothing so that you can stay comfortable as the day turns into the night. It’s also a good idea to have some cash, while you can pay in most venues with a card, taxis, street vendors, etc. may not accept cards.

We’d also suggest that if you have access to a locker in the venue of your choice, it’s a good idea to use it; otherwise, you’ll need to keep a careful eye on your stuff from when you arrive early to the end of the big party. And it’s hard to dance to the first acts on the main stage while clinging to a bag.

Is There A Dress Code For NYE Party Spots In Bali?

In most places with live entertainment and live music, the dress code will be super casual. But not in all of them, dinner guests in particular ought to contact the venue of their choice and confirm the dress code.

You don’t want to be left walking down Seminyak Beach or Kuta Beach in despair after being refused entry into the place of your choice. If you’re going out in Nusa Dua, many of the venues will have a dress code.

How Should I Stay Safe In Bali At New Year?

New Year’s Eve in Bali is usually very safe, but you can certainly help to ensure that your creative energy remains intact with these simple travel tips.

  • Focus on hydration – it’s hot and humid at this time of year. That means alcohol has an extra heavy influence. Make sure to rehydrate regularly. We recommend not just water but also isotonic drinks or coconut water.
  • Keep an eye on your drinks – it’s best to refuse drinks from strangers and to make sure nobody has the chance to put anything in them. Drink spiking is extremely rare, but why take any risks?
  • Don’t walk alone in the dark – once you leave the party, make sure you have a planned route home and that it’s not through any dark alleys, etc. Bali is a safe place to walk in most areas (though in Kuta, be a bit more cautious), but taking sensible precautions is still a good idea.

Any Tips For Recovering From A Night Out For New Year’s Eve In Bali?

Yes, we do:

  • Take it easy – the next day is not a good day to book a strenuous day of mountain climbing. Give yourself some time for rest and relaxation.
  • Rehydrate – isotonic fluids and water are the way to go to feel better.
  • Brunch can work – we find that a good leisurely brunch can be just the ticket for a recovery on New Year’s Day.

Final Thoughts On Spending New Year’s Eve In Bali For 2025/2026

Our top choice for New Year’s Eve will always be FINNS Beach Club. It’s the best party of the year at the one place in Bali that does parties better than anywhere else.

Their doors open early compared to many other venues, so you can make a day of things and enjoy some time in the infinity pool before the party really gets underway.

It’s the place to be, and once they close in the early hours, it’s easy to walk to Friends Bar and enjoy a few more drinks at the unofficial after party.

And if FINNS has sold out, well – as you can see – there are plenty of other options on the island for you to enjoy.
